Meeting called to order

Council members:

Business Items:

  1. School Fundraiser
    1. Brought in about $2500 – still selling some items
  2. Staff Shortage
    1. Parent Volunteers
    2. Substitutes
      1. People are leaving for higher paying and “easier” jobs. Stacey is getting a 2 week notice every other week.
      2. Behaviors are higher this year
  • The effects of COVID are still lingering in this shortage
  1. Everyone is feeling the increase stress this year.
  1. Attendance Plan (see attached)
    1. Starting to put together an attendance plan
      1. We need to be careful and focus on if this is disability related? Are there more supports the school can give the students who are at home?
      2. Do we need Doctors notes? Health care plan updated.
  • We want either legitimate medical reason for frequent absences OR to come up with ways on how the school can help get students to school.
  1. 61% of students are not on track.
  2. Coming up with ways to get parents more involved with helping their students at home when students are absent frequently.
  3. Emphasize in the plan that we are here to work together and want to support each other.
  1. TSSA & Land Trust Plans
    1. Updates- got in all the ipads, got ipad charging stations for each room. Lots of money in TSSA for groceries.

    3. New plan ideas- Peer tutors. Stacey will follow up with school performance on potential new plan for peer tutors and buses.
